HackIt Tech
Terms of Service
Effective July 28, 2026 — Version 2.0
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HackIt Tech’s website, ticketing system, and services (collectively, the “Services”), operated by Aiden Hackett doing business as HackIt Tech (“HackIt Tech,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, booking a service, or otherwise using the Services, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms.

01Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or agree to these Terms. If the device to be serviced belongs to a minor, a parent or legal guardian must create the account, agree to these Terms, and sign any related waiver on the minor’s behalf.
02Services offered
HackIt Tech provides technology repair, maintenance, and support services, including but not limited to: laptop and desktop repair, custom PC builds, diagnostics, data transfer and recovery, mobile device support, home visits, remote support, and one-on-one technical sessions. Additional services (such as 3D printer repair/setup or AI-use consulting) are offered on a case-by-case basis. Current service offerings and starting prices are listed at hackittech.com and are incorporated into these Terms by reference; all listed prices are starting prices and may change based on complexity or circumstances, as described on the pricing page. Information provided on the website is for general informational purposes and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular repair or outcome is possible.
03Accounts & the ticketing system
The Services are accessed through an account created via Google sign-in. Authentication is provided through Google via Supabase Auth; use of Google’s authentication service remains subject to Google’s own applicable terms and policies. You agree to:
- Provide accurate account and contact information, and keep it up to date.
- Use the ticketing, booking, messaging, and review systems only for their intended purpose — not to submit fraudulent requests, abusive messages, fake bookings, or fraudulent reviews.
- Take reasonable care to keep your account secure, since actions taken through your account (e.g., tickets, bookings) are presumed to have been authorized by you.
HackIt Tech may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account that violates these Terms.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the Services, including but not limited to automated abuse, spam, unauthorized probing of HackIt Tech’s systems, or attempts to gain unauthorized access or elevated privileges.
05Booking, diagnostics & repairs
Booking a service, submitting a ticket, or dropping off a device does not guarantee a specific repair outcome, and does not itself obligate either party to proceed with a repair. A diagnostic fee applies regardless of whether a repair is ultimately performed, except where HackIt Tech is unable to reach a diagnosis due to its own reasonable fault. Full terms governing data loss, pre-existing device condition, parts, warranty, and similar repair-specific risks are set out in HackIt Tech’s Liability Waiver, which you will be asked to review and acknowledge before physical repair work begins — that Waiver is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
06Payment
Payment for standard repairs is due upon completion/return of the device. Where a part must be ordered, Customer pays for the part (including HackIt Tech’s sourcing markup) before HackIt Tech purchases it, separate from final payment for labor. Accepted payment methods are Square (in person), Zelle, and Apple Cash. HackIt Tech does not process online card payments directly through the website.
07Refunds
Refunds are evaluated case by case. Diagnostic fees and labor already performed are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where HackIt Tech determines in its discretion that a refund is appropriate.
08Cancellations & scheduling
For home visits and scheduled sessions, cancellations made less than one hour before the scheduled time may be charged the applicable travel/base fee, though this may be waived at HackIt Tech’s discretion where the cancellation has no realistic scheduling impact. HackIt Tech will provide realistic turnaround estimates once the scope of work is known, but these are estimates and not guarantees — see the pricing page for typical turnaround ranges.
09Device pickup
Customer has 30 days from notification that a device is ready to arrange pickup. Full terms governing this pickup window, storage arrangements, and the handling of unclaimed devices are set out in HackIt Tech’s Liability Waiver, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10Workmanship warranty
HackIt Tech warrants its own workmanship for 30 days from completion, as detailed in the Liability Waiver. This warranty does not extend to failure of physical parts themselves where the failure is not caused by HackIt Tech’s installation or workmanship.
11Reviews & user submissions
Customers may optionally submit a review, including photos, in connection with a completed service. By submitting a review, you confirm you have the right to share any submitted content and grant HackIt Tech permission to display it publicly if approved. All reviews are subject to manual approval before publication, and HackIt Tech may decline to publish, or may remove, any review at its discretion — including but not limited to reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, unrelated to an actual completed service, or that disclose sensitive personal information. HackIt Tech may edit reviews solely for formatting or removal of personal information without altering the substance of the review. Declining to publish a review does not imply the review is inaccurate.
12Communications
By using the Services, you consent to receive service-related communications by email (and, where provided, by text or phone) regarding your tickets, bookings, and account, consistent with the contact preferences available in your account settings. These are transactional/service communications, not marketing, and are necessary to the operation of the Services.
13Availability & security
HackIt Tech makes reasonable efforts to keep the website and Services available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. While HackIt Tech takes reasonable measures to protect customer accounts and information, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
14Intellectual property
The HackIt Tech name, logo, website, and related content are the property of HackIt Tech and may not be used without permission. Where a service involves original scripts, documentation, or configuration created specifically for Customer’s device, ownership of that specific work product transfers to Customer upon full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
15Refusal & termination of service
HackIt Tech may decline to provide, or may discontinue, service to any person or device at its discretion, including but not limited to situations involving abusive conduct, suspected fraud, safety concerns, non-payment, or a device/request that falls outside HackIt Tech’s stated service scope. Where service is discontinued mid-repair, HackIt Tech will make reasonable efforts to return the device in no worse condition than received, and Customer remains responsible for fees already incurred (e.g., diagnostic fees, parts already ordered).
16Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HackIt Tech’s total liability arising from use of the Services or any service performed shall not exceed the amount actually paid by Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where caused by HackIt Tech’s gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct. Additional liability terms specific to repair risks (data loss, device condition, parts, and similar) are set out in the Liability Waiver, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
17Informal resolution
If a dispute arises under these Terms, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it directly before pursuing any formal legal action.
18Changes to these Terms
HackIt Tech may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this document, and — where practical — communicated to customers with an active ticket or upcoming booking. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
20Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
21Entire agreement
Together with the Liability Waiver and Privacy Policy, these Terms constitute the entire agreement governing use of the Services, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where these Terms and the Liability Waiver both address the same repair-specific risk (e.g., data loss, device condition, parts, warranty), the more specific terms of the Liability Waiver govern.
